On the 11th of February 2013 at 12:30 pm the formal signing of the MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) between The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MOICT) and Swanirvar Bangladesh was held on the MOICT premises. Honorable Secretary of MOICT and Honorable Chairman Governing Body of Swanirvar Bangladesh signed the MOU.
Nationwide free online based skilled Freelancers are to be created through trainings under the banner of the ‘Learning and Earning’ Programme. The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MOICT) will act as the consulting agency and Swanirvar Bangladesh will be the implementing party. The Training will simultaneously cover all 64 districts and 60 Upazillas Nationwide. The trainings are divided into two parts, namely Basic level training for two days and Advanced level training for five days. Profile creation and methods of earning online as a freelancer is taught in the Basic level training and modules like Graphic Design, SEO, Writing and Translation, Web Design, Mobile Application, E-mail Marketing, Customer Service, Network Administration, Telemarketing, Bookkeeping, Copy Writing, Software Project Management etc will be taught in the Advanced level training. Approximately 11,360 persons will be trained and made into skilled freelancers through this Initiative. The prime objective of these trainings is to yield and make skilled self-reliant independent freelancers out of educated youths of the Nation. Students, Teachers, educated women, UISC members, journalists and various business persons can take part in the trainings.
Notably Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MOICT), Joint Secretary and other noted senior officials were present on the ceremony. The Chief Operating Officer, Director Information Technology and other officials from Swanirvar Bangladesh were also present at the ceremony.
