Swanirvar Bangladesh is a non-political, non-profitable and non-governmental voluntary social welfare organisation at national level. Certify No. 00495-03562-00311, Date-29/07/2008, Microcredit Regulatory Authority, Reg. No. DHA-01713 Date-02/07/1985, Department of social welfare and D.S.S/D/O/R-225, Date-15/07/1987, Department of social welfare and renewed with the NGO AFFAIRS BUREAU and Reg. No. Dhaka-24, Department of youth development Reg. No. 52/95 Directorate of family planning Dated-09/07/1995.

Swanirvar Bangladesh came into existence on the 25th September 1975 as a formal organisation through the joint efforts of the Non-Governmental and Governmental body. Swanirvar workers are determined to sustain their activities for the cause of “Total Village Development” (TVD) through the active participation of the people of all levels, governmental agencies and public representatives. Swanirvar Bangladesh is recognised nationally and internationally as a non-profitable organisation for rural development activities. The main objective of Swanirvar Bangladesh is to attain the all-round socio-economic development of rural people of Bangladesh on the basis of self-reliance.

To promote literacy and skill development, health care, nutrition and general family welfare, micro enterprises development, income generation and poverty alleviation, environmental improvements and the like leading towards economic advancement, social up liftmen and empowerment. Swanirvar Bangladesh is a useful bridge between local Government and the people.

Vision: To act as the change agent and catalyst to enable the rural populace for making efforts for family based as well as community based socio-economic development with the principles of self-reliance.
Mission: Addressing total Human Development of the poor with particular emphasis on poverty alleviation and empowerment of women through income generation, education and skill development, health care and nutrition and the like. Target trying to accomplish MDGS.
